Choose the power for the supply

Charging speed is limited by the car as well as the charger. A 22kW unit only delivers 22kW if the car’s onboard AC charger accepts it.

What it does

• Three ways to start a charge. The app (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth), an RFID card, or the QR code on the unit.
• Set to suit the supply. The installer sets the maximum current between 6 and 32A on the rotary switch inside the unit.
• Stays connected. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, plus an Ethernet port where the wireless signal is weak at the mounting point.
• Tethered Type 2. IEC 62196-2 cable with a holster to keep it tidy.
• Clear status. Two lights on the black glass front: blue when it’s ready, green while it charges, plus a small text display.

In the box

Charger, wall bracket, wall plugs and fixing screws, cable glands, bracket screws and two RFID cards. Supply cable, isolation and circuit protection are not included.

Fitting

1. Take the bracket off the back and open the wiring cover (five screws).
2. Bring the supply in through the gland, terminate it on the terminal block and set the maximum current on the rotary switch.
3. Refit the cover and tighten the glands.
4. Fix the bracket to the wall, hang the charger and lock it with the side screw.

Install to BS 7671, including Section 722 (electric vehicle charging installations), and notify the work under Building Regulations. The photo guide is on the Wallbox page.
